What you’re buying.

The rules for having an account and for buying review credits: what a credit gets you, when you can change your mind, and what happens if a review goes wrong. The account rules apply as soon as you sign up; the rest only when you buy something. The school finder, the data pages and the UCAT pages need no account at all.

The short version

  • One credit is one full personal statement review. Credits never expire.
  • Changed your mind? Within 14 days of buying, any credits you haven't used are refunded in full.
  • Once you use a credit, the review is made for you there and then, so that credit can't be cancelled. You agree to that when you buy.
  • If a review fails, you keep the credit — one is only taken when a finished review is saved.
  • One account per person. That's what the free review is for.
  • None of this takes away your legal rights as a consumer.

Who you're buying from

You’re buying from MedOffr, run by Nitish Nandakumar as a sole trader in the UK. It isn’t a company and isn’t connected to any university, medical school or UCAS.

What you're buying

You’re buying review credits. Each credit gets you one review of your answers to the three UCAS personal statement questions, marked for Medicine against a fixed, published rubric. A review gives you:

  • A band and a score for each of the 5 criteria, out of 100 in total.
  • Individual sentences marked strong or weak, with the reason attached.
  • Advice on structure and length against the UCAS limits.
  • Specific next steps, in priority order.

A review is feedback on your writing. It is not a prediction of whether any medical school will interview you or make you an offer, and it never writes or rewrites your statement for you. Resubmitting after you edit is a new review and uses a new credit.

Every account gets one free credit when it’s created. The school finder, the admissions data pages and the UCAT pages are free and don’t need an account — you never have to buy anything to use them.

Prices and payment

Credits are sold in packs. The price shown is the total you pay; nothing is added at checkout.

PackCreditsPricePer review
Starter pack3£4.99£1.66
Value pack8£9.99£1.25

Payment is taken by Stripe. You enter your card details on Stripe’s own page, so they never reach this site, and Stripe emails you a receipt. The Unlimited plan shown on the pricing page isn’t on sale yet; these terms will be updated before it is.

When you get your credits

Straight away. Credits are added to your account as soon as your payment clears — usually within a few seconds — and you can use them immediately. If they haven’t appeared within an hour, get in touch and I’ll sort it out.

Changing your mind

Within 14 days of buying a pack, you can cancel any credits from it that you haven’t used and get your money back for them. You don’t have to give a reason. The refund is the unused share of what you paid: if you bought the Value pack (8 credits for £9.99) and used 2, cancelling gets you £7.49 back.

Once you use a credit, it can’t be cancelled. The review is produced for you there and then, at your request, and the law allows a right to cancel to end once digital content has been supplied with your agreement. Before you pay, you tick a box that says:

I want my credits straight away, and I understand I can't cancel a credit once I've used it. Unused credits can be refunded within 14 days.

After 14 days, unused credits stay yours — they never expire — but they’re no longer refundable, unless something has gone wrong (see below).

How to cancel

Email nitishnandakumar0@gmail.com or use the contact form from the email address on your account, and say which purchase. The refund goes back to the card you paid with, within 14 days of your request, and the cancelled credits are removed from your account.

If something goes wrong

A review that fails costs you nothing. A credit is only taken when a finished review is saved to your account. If the review service errors, times out or returns something unusable, you see a message saying so and the credit stays on your account.

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, a review has to be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If one isn’t — it’s garbled, it clearly ignores what you submitted, or it marks something other than your statement — tell me. I’ll run it again, or refund the credit.

A mark you disagree with isn’t a fault in itself: each review is a judgement against a published rubric, and two careful readers can disagree about a sentence. But tell me anyway — that is how the rubric gets better.

Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights as a consumer.

Credits and your account

  • Credits belong to the account that bought them. They can't be transferred, sold or exchanged for cash.
  • One account per person. The free review is meant to be used once per person; accounts created to collect free reviews may be closed, and any paid credits on them that haven't been used are refunded.
  • If you delete your account, its credits go with it. If you want a refund for unused paid credits, ask within 14 days of buying them.
  • If MedOffr ever closes, you'll get at least 30 days' notice and a refund for any paid credits you haven't used.

If you're under 18

Most people applying to Medicine are 17. If you are under 18, get a parent or guardian’s permission before buying credits — and if you’re paying with someone else’s card, you need theirs. The free parts of the site need no permission and no account.

What we're responsible for

The school finder, the admissions data pages and the UCAT pages are compiled from universities’ published figures and Freedom of Information responses. They’re guidance, not a guarantee: universities change their requirements and don’t publish everything, and no verdict on this site decides who gets an interview or an offer. Always check each university’s own admissions pages before you apply.

If I fail to meet these terms, I’m responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of that, or of my failing to use reasonable care and skill. I’m not responsible for loss that wasn’t foreseeable. Credits are sold for your own personal use, not for any business. Nothing here limits responsibility for anything the law doesn’t allow to be limited, including death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud.

Changes to these terms

The terms that apply to a purchase are the ones in place when you made it; the version you agreed to is recorded with your payment. When these terms change, the date at the top of the page changes with it, and anything that affects credits you already hold will be said plainly on the site.

The law that applies

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings there. If something goes wrong, contact me first — most problems are faster to fix than to argue about.
