- Format
- Multiple mini interview (MMI) · Five 10-minute discussions, in person or on Zoom
- When
- For 2027 entry, interviews run from December 2026 to February 2027. You choose: in person in early December or early January, or on Zoom in late January or early February.
- In detail
- Five discussions of ten minutes, with 90 seconds between, about an hour in all. On Zoom each is in its own breakout room with an interviewer and an invigilator; you show photo ID in English and show the room to prove you are alone, with no notes. Your Zoom name must match your UCAS form.
- How it is scored
- Each discussion is scored separately: graded Excellent, Good, Satisfactory, Borderline or Poor, then marked out of 20. The five marks make a score out of 100, which decides offers. Interviewers take notes and check guidance as part of scoring.

Not scored
Not scored: shortlisting is SJT band then a UCAT ranking.
It does not count at the interview. From 2027 entry a Band 4 is rejected before the ranking. At the 2026 threshold of 1,990 the band was the tie-break, and Band 1 got in.
