What it looks for

We have not added Sheffield’s own description of what its interview assesses yet. MMI interviews generally test motivation for medicine, communication, ethical reasoning, teamwork and what you learnt from work experience; the questions below cover each.

Your personal statement

Used at interview

Not normally read or scored. The activities and values in it are commonly explored at interview, and it is read only if UCAS flags possible plagiarism, which would end the application.

Your SJT band

It counts at or after the interview. No band is rejected. The SJT quartile becomes an interview score out of 5 (1st quartile 5, 4th quartile 2), added to the eight MMI stations for a total out of 45.
