Nottingham gives no indication of what total is competitive. It publishes the points but not where the ranking stopped in any year, and says it cannot predict the threshold. The only benchmarks it has released are the 2025-entry funnel below: 69% of Home applicants were interviewed, and the median Home applicant had a UCAT of 2,740 on the old scale. Use the total to compare profiles, not to read a chance.
The bands are coarse: a Verbal score of 701 earns the same 16 points as 800, and 700 earns 12. A subtest sitting just under a band boundary is where a few marks change the total most.

Nottingham interviewed 69% of Home applicants and made offers to 75% of those interviewed, one of the more generous funnels in the country; international applicants were interviewed at 30% and offered at 48%. The Home median UCAT of 2,740 on the old scale was close to that year’s national average, which fits a school that weighs GCSEs as heavily as the test.
